Speech and Language Therapist
Susan Diamond is a licensed speech and language pathologist with a private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. She specializes in diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and social delays and disorders.
Susan has over twenty five years experience in the field. Sue has contracted her services to hospitals and schools, and conducted workshops for training therapists, teachers, and parents. Her qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and a state license from the California Board of Medical Assurance. She is also certified through the American Speech and Hearing Association (Certificate of Clinical Competence) and has a Clinical Rehabilitation Services Credential.
Susan is the author of “Social Rules for Kids” which won the gold Mom’s Choice Award. She is also the author of Language Lessons in the Classroom and co-author of Webs for Language. Both books have been bestsellers for over 10 years.
Sue has also been on TV as a social skills specialist (View from the Bay).
She has also presented the professional DVD Diamond Social Skills. Susan talks candidly about social language issues for children and teens and provides strategies to help. Parents love this DVD because it has a nice flow, and uses easy to understand language. Sue also styles humor and kindness when telling stories of students’ plights and tribulations.
Susan’s therapy sessions in her private practice are innovative and enjoyable. She completes initial evaluations and sets goals and objectives to meet the person’s language needs. Her sessions are set for an hour and include direct therapy, consultation, and written charted data. Her reputation is excellent and she shares a wide range of interactive referrals with hospitals, neuropsychologists, psychologists, educational therapists, teachers, and parents. She is a specialist in her field of speech pathology.
